Yuzvendra Chahal, a cricketer and influencer cum choreographer Dhanashree Verma have been in the limelight after their separation news surfaced earlier this year.
However, the cricketer went for a calm moment in the English mountains to deal his emotions through a cryptic caption, while Dhanashree recently revealed her deeply emotional experience of ending their five-year marriage.
Recently, Chahal took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from Kirkstone Pass in England. The first photo showed him standing with arms stretched wide against a stunning mountain backdrop, while other shots captured him gazing pensively into the distance. However, it was his caption that drew the most attention. “Million feelings, Zero words,” he wrote, sparking speculation among fans about the emotions behind the words.
Dhanashree Opens Up on Divorce
In a candid conversation with Humans of Bombay, Dhanashree Verma described the overwhelming emotions she faced on the day of the divorce. “It was very emotional for me and my family,” she said. “I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given, even though you are so mentally prepared that it is going to happen, it was still so emotional. I literally started howling and crying in front of everybody. I cannot even express what I was feeling at that point of time.”
She recalled how she avoided the media glare by leaving through the back gate of the court, not wanting cameras flashing in her face. Taking a light-hearted yet sharp dig at Chahal’s outfit choice, she revealed how he turned up wearing a T-shirt with the words “Be Your Own Sugar Daddy” printed on it, while she opted for something simple. “I was wearing normal T-shirt and jeans. I sat in the car, my best friend was there with me, and we were still trying to grasp our breath. It was that shaky moment, especially when you know people will blame you only. Are bhai, WhatsApp kar deta. T-shirt kyu pehna hai?” she said.

While Dhanashree described the separation as a moment of immense pain, she also hinted at resilience and moving forward despite public scrutiny. Chahal’s cryptic post, meanwhile, left fans wondering whether it reflected his personal emotions in the aftermath of the split.
Their journey—from a lockdown romance to a grand wedding and now an emotional separation—has resonated deeply with fans, many of whom continue to extend messages of support to both individuals as they begin new chapters in their lives.
The couple’s story began during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, when Dhanashree was conducting online dance classes. Their bond quickly blossomed, leading to marriage in December 2020 at a grand ceremony in Gurgaon. For years, the two were seen as one of the most popular cricketing couples, often sharing glimpses of their life together on social media.
However, earlier this year, reports emerged of trouble in paradise. In February 2025, Chahal and Dhanashree were spotted outside Bandra Family Court, where they filed a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent. They also requested a waiver of the mandatory six-month waiting period, citing irreconcilable differences. Weeks later, the Mumbai family court granted their divorce, officially ending their marriage.
